These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Where they conflict with Aurello's general terms for other products, these terms take precedence for Star Designation Institute.

What you buy: a symbolic dedication

You choose a real star from a public astronomical catalogue (Yale Bright Star Catalogue). We record your dedication (a name, a date and optional words) in the Star Designation Institute's own independent registry and present it on a star page with personalised digital keepsakes.

The dedication is symbolic. It does not name or rename a star scientifically. It is not recognised by the International Astronomical Union or any other astronomical institution, and it gives no ownership of or rights to a star. The star's catalogue designation, coordinates and any existing official name stay unchanged.

A dedication is not exclusive. Our registry records each order as its own entry, and other dedications, in our registry or elsewhere, may refer to the same catalogue star.

Packages and prices

• Essential · €29One registry entry, a shareable standard star page, a certificate PDF and a phone wallpaper.
• Premium · €69Everything in Essential, plus the Star Journey reveal on the star page, a downloadable A4 poster file and gift-date planning.
• Eternal · €89Everything in Premium, plus a second catalogue star on the same registration and a private management link for later changes.

Additional stars, for example for a second name, family members or the "second star" option, cost €19 each and are shown as separate lines before payment. Prices are in euros and include any applicable VAT. Every order is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.

Everything is delivered digitally. Nothing physical is shipped, so there are no shipping costs. Photos of frames, phones or rooms on this website show presentation scenes only.

How your order is placed

In the order flow you choose the occasion, enter the details, choose a star and a package, and see a summary with the total. You can correct any entry with the back arrow before you pay. To order, you confirm the immediate-delivery consent and click "Order & Pay", which opens Stripe Checkout. The contract is concluded when Stripe confirms your payment. You then see a confirmation page with your registry ID and your links.

The contract language is English. We store the order record. You can save or print these terms from this page at any time.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Aurello is the seller. Stripe Checkout shows the payment methods available for your device and location. Your card or wallet details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.

Delivery and access

Delivery begins as soon as Stripe confirms your payment. The registry entry and the star page are available immediately. The certificate PDF, the wallpaper and, for Premium and Eternal, the poster are generated automatically after payment and are usually ready within a few minutes. If a file is not available within 24 hours, please contact us.

Save your links. The confirmation page shows the shareable star-page link and, for Eternal, a separate private management link. We also send an order confirmation with these links, your order details and your consent to immediate delivery to the email address you enter in Stripe Checkout. Keep the management link private: anyone who has it can change the registration. If you lose access, contact us with your payment email and registry ID.

Gift emails are sent automatically only where checkout says that automatic email delivery is active. Otherwise you receive an email draft and a calendar reminder to send the gift yourself.

AI-generated keepsakes

The certificate, wallpaper and poster are created with AI image generation from our design templates and the details of your registration. Small differences in layout and artwork between orders and compared with the examples on this website are possible. Please check your files after downloading them. If a file shows wrong details or is faulty, contact us and we will correct it or refund you under our Refund Policy.

The Star Journey is a reveal animation on the star page. It combines a film used for all Journeys with a personalised finale showing the name and star. It is not a downloadable video.

Public information and your content

The registered name, chosen date and time, dedication, any sender name, the registry ID and the star data appear on the public star page and may appear in the searchable public registry. Recipient email addresses, payment details and management tokens are not published. Our privacy information explains how we process data.

Only enter names and words you are entitled to use, and respect the wishes of the people you name. Do not enter unlawful, hateful, harassing or infringing content or other people's private data beyond a name and date. We may decline or remove entries that break these rules, subject to applicable law and your consumer rights. You can ask us at any time to remove a public entry.

Changes after purchase

With Eternal you can change the registered name, date and time, dedication and sender name through the private management link. The registry ID and the star-page link stay the same, and the keepsake files are generated again for the new details. Essential and Premium registrations are fixed once paid. If you notice a typing mistake, contact us and we will help where we can.

Availability

We intend to keep star pages and the registry online for the long term. They depend on the continued operation of this service, so please download and keep your files. Eternal editing is available for as long as we operate the service. If we ever discontinue the public pages, we will announce it on this website at least 30 days in advance.

Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers in the EU generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For this personalised digital content, the order can only be placed if you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once delivery begins. Our Refund Policy explains the details, when we refund and how to contact us. Your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed content are not affected.

Eligibility, consumer rights and disputes

You must be at least 18 to order. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including remedies for faulty, unavailable or misdescribed digital content and services.

Cyprus law governs these terms, without removing the mandatory consumer protection of your country of habitual residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court available to them under applicable consumer law. If something is wrong, please contact us first at contact@aurello.app. We may update these terms for future orders. Changes do not affect orders already placed.
