An independent commemorative registry

The purchase creates a commemorative designation in the Star Designation Institute registry. It does not rename a star scientifically, transfer ownership of a celestial object or create recognition by the International Astronomical Union or another official astronomical institution. The scientific catalogue identifier and coordinates remain unchanged.

Digital package delivery

Delivery begins after Stripe confirms payment. No physical certificate, frame, phone or poster is shipped. Lifestyle photography is presentation only; each downloadable file uses the same artwork design shown inside the corresponding mock.

• EssentialOne paid registry entry, a shareable standard star page, a downloadable certificate PDF and phone wallpaper.
• PremiumEverything in Essential, plus the personalised Star Journey, a downloadable A4 poster file and optional gift-date scheduling when email delivery is active.
• EternalEverything in Premium, a second catalogue star on the registration and a separate private management link for later changes to the registered name, chosen date/time, dedication and sender name.

Downloads require a modern browser with JavaScript enabled. The Journey uses video and canvas animation; visitors who request reduced motion receive a shortened static reveal.

Immediate delivery & withdrawal

Before payment, you can expressly consent to delivery of the personalised digital content starting immediately and acknowledge that your 14-day right of withdrawal is lost once delivery begins. If you do not give that consent, the order cannot be placed because the personalised files are prepared immediately after verified payment. This does not limit your statutory remedies if digital content is faulty or does not match its description. Our Refund Policy explains when we refund and how to withdraw if delivery has not begun.

Public and private information

Public: the registered name, chosen date/time, dedication, any sender name, registry ID and catalogue-star data appear on the shareable page and may appear in the searchable public registry.

Private: payment details remain with Stripe. Your email address, recipient email addresses, payment-session references, edit-token hashes and gift-delivery status are not published. The Eternal management token is shown only in the private management link.

Privacy

Controller. AURELLO CODE SOFTWARE GROUP LTD, at the address above, is responsible for processing personal data. Privacy requests can be sent to contact@aurello.app.

Data and purposes. We process the details entered for the registry and personalised keepsakes, your email address for the order confirmation, gift email details when used, payment confirmations and references, support messages, and limited technical and security logs. We use them to fulfil the order and operate the registry, answer requests, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. The legal bases are contract performance, legitimate interests in security and support, and applicable legal obligations.

Processors and transfers. Vercel serves the website and forwards its requests to Google Firebase, which runs the functions, generated files and registry database in the United States. Stripe processes checkout and payment data. The personalisation details needed for the three artwork files are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to OpenAI's GPT Image service. Resend sends the order confirmation to the email address you enter in Stripe Checkout and processes recipient details when automatic gift email is requested. Where providers process data outside the EEA, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Storage and retention. This site uses browser session/local storage only for the order flow, recent registry data, the private Eternal management token and, if you object to visit statistics, that objection. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies (see Visit statistics). Paid registry records and their public pages are kept while the service is provided. Other personal data is kept only as long as needed for delivery, support, security and statutory record-keeping.

Your rights. Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection or the supervisory authority where you live or work.

Visit statistics (cookieless)

We use PostHog (PostHog Inc.) and Mixpanel (Mixpanel Inc.) to understand how the website and the order flow are used, so we can make them clearer. Both run without cookies and store nothing on your device: the random identifier they use exists only in your browser's memory for the page you are viewing and is gone when you leave or reload it.

What is measured. Pages viewed, the order-flow steps reached, the package chosen and the checkout start, clicks without the text shown on screen, browser and device type, the referring page, campaign parameters such as utm_source, and your IP address, which the tools use to derive an approximate location. After a verified payment, our server reports the package and amount for the identifier of the checkout page; the identifier is stored with the order only until that report is sent. Names, dedications, email addresses, order numbers, private management links and payment details are never sent to these tools.

Legal basis, transfers and retention. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Both providers may process the data in the United States; we rely on an adequacy decision such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Visit statistics are kept only as long as needed for these statistics.

Your right to object. You can object at any time via Privacy settings, also linked at the foot of the main pages and at checkout. We then stop sending statistics from this browser and remember only that objection in its local storage. A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal from your browser counts as an objection.

Availability and support

Download and save the keepsake files after purchase. Public pages and later Eternal edits depend on the continued operation of this online service and possession of the private management link. Statutory rights for digital content that is faulty or does not match its description are not limited by this explanation.
